THIRD EDITION – 2012

Date: November 12 and 13th , 2012.
Place: CTBE Auditorium, Campinas, Brazil.

Presentation: The cost of enzymes is one of the main challenges for bioethanol and biomass by-products feasibility in large scale. Research about understanding and improvement of enzymes efficiency and productivity are very relevant in this context. The CTBE workshop “Second Generation Bioethanol: Enzymatic Hydrolysis 2012″ will assist on disseminating this cutting edge research area in Brazil, but also strengthen partnerships between the National scientific community and Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM). This is the third edition of this event (first occurred in 2010 and second in 2011) and over two hundred people registered and attended the previous workshops.

This year, the event “Second Generation Bioethanol 2012” will bring the scientific topics such as:

  1. Metagenomics applied for biofuels
  2. Protein production and signal transduction in filamentous fungi
  3. Engineering and molecular evolution of enzymes

Financial Support: CTBE/CNPEM, CNPq and FAPESP
