You are invited to attend the 3rd Nanocellulose Workshop, a two-day event that will be held by the Brazilian Nanotechnology National Laboratory (LNNano), which is part of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), in Campinas, Brazil from June 13th to 14th, 2019.

This workshop will be an excellent opportunity to have an outlook on the newest and most relevant aspects currently addressed by both academy and industry on nanocellulose production and application.

Confirmed international speakers include:

  • Prof. Michael Tam, Dept of Chem Eng, Univ Waterloo and Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN), Canada
  • Prof. Alain Dufresne, The International School of Paper, Print Media and Biomaterials (Pagora), Grenoble Institute of Technology, Saint Martin d’Hères, France

About Nanocellulose

Nanocelluloses, primarily extracted from biomass, are attracting a lot of attention as the new nanotechnological building block for advanced materials featuring unique properties and functionalities. These nanoparticles are non-toxic, renewable, recyclable, and possess remarkable physical properties that enhance the performance of different types of materials (e.g., hydrogels, composites, foams, and adhesives).

As the number of seats is limited, the applications will be reviewed by a Scientific Committee, and we expect to notify applicants no later than May 5th.

Important Dates

  • Registration and Abstract submission (postponed):
from March 11th to April 12th  April 18th
  • Selection of applicants: until May 5th
  • Registration Fee Payment (online)(postponed):
