O aproveitamento da biodiversidade \u00e9 essencial para mitigar as mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas, reduzir a depend\u00eancia de recursos f\u00f3sseis e avan\u00e7ar na transi\u00e7\u00e3o para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o sustent\u00e1vel de energia, materiais e produtos qu\u00edmicos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Este evento re\u00fane pesquisadores de destaque de todo o Brasil para explorar como a diversidade biol\u00f3gica pode ser traduzida em inova\u00e7\u00e3o. Em particular, a descoberta e a caracteriza\u00e7\u00e3o funcional de microrganismos, genes, enzimas e compostos bioativos, viabilizadas por abordagens como a gen\u00f4mica ambiental e \u00f4micas em larga escala, representam rotas poderosas para o desenvolvimento de solu\u00e7\u00f5es biotecnol\u00f3gicas. Esta iniciativa tem como objetivo conectar a comunidade cient\u00edfica, promover o compartilhamento de conhecimentos e fomentar esfor\u00e7os colaborativos para enfrentar os principais desafios relacionados ao uso sustent\u00e1vel de materiais renov\u00e1veis e ao desenvolvimento de solu\u00e7\u00f5es biotecnol\u00f3gicas de ponta. Anteriormente conhecida como s\u00e9rie Industrial Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology (IBSB), a partir de sua 7\u00aa edi\u00e7\u00e3o o evento passou a se chamar Biorenewables Series.
