Foi pesquisador visitante no Forschungszentrum J\u00fclich (Alemanha) e no National Institute of Nanoscience and Technology (China). Sua pesquisa foca na s\u00edntese de nanomateriais e materiais avan\u00e7ados aplicados a processos catal\u00edticos, como redu\u00e7\u00e3o de CO\u2082, gera\u00e7\u00e3o de hidrog\u00eanio verde e reforma de metano, al\u00e9m do desenvolvimento de sistemas para libera\u00e7\u00e3o lenta e controlada de insumos agr\u00edcolas. Coordenou a Rede AgroNano e o portf\u00f3lio de projetos em nanotecnologia da Embrapa, articulando amplas redes nacionais de pesquisa em nanoci\u00eancia aplicada ao agroneg\u00f3cio.
