2025 Aldo Craievich Thesis Award<\/span><\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Following the PhD Thesis Award of 2021, Masters Thesis Award 2022, Young Research Award 2023, and Undergraduate Award 2024, the LNLS Users Group (LNLSUG) will organize the 2025 Aldo Craievich Thesis Award<\/span>, to recognize outstanding research work using LNLS facilities.[\/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”UPDATE: Winner” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”Participation conditions” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]To participate, the candidate should send the following documents to the e-mail address usersgroup@lnls.br by no later than <\/span>September 1<\/b>st<\/b><\/del> 2025<\/del> September 5th, 2025.<\/b><\/p>\n

  1. Signed cover letter, stating full name of the candidate, personal ID number, institution where the thesis was defended, name of the supervisor (and co-supervisor if applicable), and date of the thesis defense. A short description of the thesis topic and main results should be included, highlighting the importance of those obtained at LNLS to the main conclusions of the thesis<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Certificate of successful thesis defense.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Support letter from the supervisor(s) \u2013 OPTIONAL.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Copy of personal ID (RG, passport, etc).<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. PDF copy of\u00a0 the thesis.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. PDF copy of all published, accepted, or submitted papers <\/span>related to the PhD work<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Statement that the candidate agrees to present a short talk on November 05<\/span>th<\/span> \u2013 06<\/span>th<\/span> 2025 during the <\/span>35th<\/span>\u00a0RAU\/LNLS<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. The candidate must be a member of the LNLS Users Group by the time of submission (<\/span>how to become a member<\/span><\/a>)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In case the above documentation exceeds 10Mb in total, the candidate should provide a link for download.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”Nomination submission” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]To be eligible for the 2025 Aldo Craievich Thesis Award, the candidate must satisfy the following criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. The research performed by the candidate at LNLS facilities must be key for the main conclusions of the PhD research work.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. The candidate\u00b4s Thesis <\/span>must have been successfully defended between <\/span>August 1<\/span>st<\/span> 2021 and July 31<\/span>st<\/span> 2025<\/span>.<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. All candidates agree to present a <\/span>10-min talk on November 05<\/span>th<\/span> \u2013 06<\/span>th<\/span> 2025 during the <\/span>35th<\/span>\u00a0RAU\/LNLS<\/span><\/a>, if requested.<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. The nomination documentation must be complete and submitted on time.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
