The event

The XII Proteomics Workshop is promoted by the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), a social organization from the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

From October 30th until the 1st November, 2023, participants will be meeting the program, comprising classes ministered by experts in the field of  proteomics and mass spectrometry. In addition, participants can also take part in virtual Flash Talks.

In this year’s edition of the event, discussions will be focused on the following topics: single-cell proteomics, top-down proteomics, post-translational modifications, structural proteomics and proteomics data analysis. The topics will be addressed in 50-min lectures with time for Q&A and the flash talks.

Since 2021, the workshop has been held entirely in an online mode, which has received significant support from previous participants of the event for it to continue in this format. Therefore, and in order to encourage the diversity and accessibility of the Proteomics community, the 2023 edition will operate once again via the Zoom platform, as well as having free registration.

The excellence of the workshop is recognized by the scientific community throughout Brazil. The first edition took place in 2010 and, since then, attracted researchers from multiple nationalities. Altogether, the event has welcomed representatives from 22 Brazilian states and 29 different countries from all parts of the globe.

Why participate?

This meeting represents a training and information exchange opportunity for current and future users of Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry. Following the example of the previous editions, held since 2010, the workshop promotes the interaction between Brazilian and international researchers and the dissemination of knowledge in the scientific community.

How much will I invest?

The XII Proteomics Workshop registration is free. The event is 100% online.
