Thursday, Feb 28 morning/early afternoon: Installation of the Igor Pro and Irena and Nika packages on users’ computers, data reduction using Nika of example SAXS data including calibration, mask design, and necessary corrections. Examples of SAXS1 beamline data will be provided. Discussion and help with data reduction of users data will follow.

Thursday, Feb 28 afternoon/Friday, Mar 1: Data analysis using Irena (all steps necessary including import/export, modifications, and plotting of data). Presentation and hands-on education for use of Irena tools (unified fit, size distribution, modeling, analytical models, small-angle diffraction etc.). Explanation of advanced support tools such as scripting tool will be included. The lectures will be paced based on users’ progress, and time will be left for questions and answers, leaving users to "play" with the demonstration or their own data. 

 

For both days:

  • Opening session: 8:15 a.m.
  • Lunch: from 12:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Closing: 6:30 p.m.
