    Registration and submission of abstracts must be done through the EventWeb registration system and follow separate steps:

    1. Register by choosing your category, and insert personal, academic, and affiliation data.
    2. Submitting your abstract. The submission is divided into two steps: enter the information regarding the abstract, then fill in the author´s information.
  • Abstract Submission

    The Technical Program Committee of the 21st BWSP invites everyone to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations for the conference. The acceptance of the presentation and the type (oral or poster) will be notified after the evaluation process.

    • Abstract submission are optional for participation;
    • Abstracts must be written in English and submitted electronically (check the guidelines below);
    • The abstract should be submitted and presented by the same author;
    • Only one abstract contribution may be submitted by each presenter;
    • The Scientific Committee will evaluate the abstracts, select and assign the format to be presented, either oral communications or poster depending on the topical fit and time constraints.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Please ensure that you have read these guidelines before submitting your abstract.
Abstracts not submitted in this format will not be considered for review.
Please be aware that all required fields must be filled in to complete the submission process.

There is no abstract template: fill in the information about your abstract in the requested fields directly on the EventWeb platform.
After registering, follow the “make your submission” button, please be sure to complete all the steps below.

Step 1

  1. In the section menu, at the top left, click on “Make your submission” and fill in the following fields:
  2. Indicate your preferred type of communication (poster or oral to be evaluated by the Scientific Committee);
  3. Abstract Title;
  4. Keywords;
  5. Abstract text with the acknowledgments and references (maximum of 4) filled out directly on the site, using also resources of copy-paste;
  6. The abstract, acknowledgements and references will be submitted jointly and must contain a maximum of 2000 characters, including spaces. Do not leave blank lines between the abstract, acknowledgments and references;
  7. Click on ‘next step’.

Step 2

  1. Select the number of authors
  2. Fill the fields with each author’s information. Mark the one who will be the presenter.
  3. Click on ‘Make a Submission

The submission is complete and you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. On the screen, you will see the ‘Author Page’ with the list of submitted abstracts. If you click on the abstract title you will be able to view the submission and also the created pdf file.

If you find any problem with your submission you may go to the previous page (click on Author button) and click on the ‘pencil’ icon to edit any changes.

 

You can make changes until the submission deadline.

Target Audience

The event is intended for national and international researchers, professionals, and educators interested in presenting and discussing innovations, trends, practical challenges, and solutions in semiconductors.

Language

The official language of the event is English. All information, content, and communication will be conducted in this language. Abstracts should also be written in English.

Selection Criteria

The scientific committee will select participants based on the submitted abstracts, evaluating the following criteria:

▸ Relevance of the topic to the BWSP theme;

▸ Scientific quality and consistency;

▸ Maturity of the work and effective contributions;

▸ Clarity in writing, with well-presented ideas.

The Organizing Committee traditionally makes an effort to ensure representation from all groups at the workshop.

Cancellation Policies
  • Any changes and cancellations must be pre-notified in writing by email to eventos@cnpem.br.
  • Registration fees will be refunded, considering the deduction of the following administrative fees:
    • 10% on payments made by credit card and bank slip plus applicable taxes and fees related to the refund financial transaction;
    • 40% on payments made by international bank transfer (invoice) plus applicable taxes and fees related to the refund financial transaction.
  • Refunds will be made by credit card or bank transfer, depending on the original payment method after deduction of bank expenses and handling costs.
  • No refunds for cancellations made after July 28th 2024.
