The 2nd Brazilian Workshop on Synchrotron Radiation Circular Dichroism (CEDRO workshop) will be held on 23 and 24 June, 2022. The workshop is promoted in hybrid mode by the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS), located at the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) in Campinas, state of São Paulo, in Brazil.
International speakers with experience in SRCD and Brazilian speakers, users of international SRCD beamlines, will show examples highlighting how this technique is a valuable tool to analyze structural features of the biomolecules, especially proteins. The workshop will also include flash talks and poster session from participants.
In the first edition of this workshop held in 2015, the potential of the synchrotron radiation circular dichroism (SRCD) technique was presented to the participants aiming at the inclusion of a SRCD beamline in the brazilian synchrotron. A few years later, the CEDRO beamline, dedicated to SRCD, is now being assembled at Sirius.
Therefore, the main goal of this 2nd CEDRO workshop is presenting this beamline to the community, as well as the advantages of using synchrotron radiation as a light source for CD spectroscopy, attracting potential users to create a SRCD community in Brazil and Latin America.
