The CNPEM-IBM School will take place in a hybrid format. Participants can choose between two options: attending in-person (100 spots, based on a selection process) or joining online (500 spots, assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and distributed across the 6 Brazilian regions). Applications from outside Brazil are also welcome and will be considered within the available spots.

In-Person Selection

The 100 in-person spots will be allocated as follows:

• 30% for undergraduates,
• 30% for graduate students,
• 20% for postdoctoral researchers,
• 20% for professionals from companies.

Candidates will be selected based on the following documents submitted in the registration form:

• Motivation letter,
• Academic record,
• Academic production/professional experience.

Online Selection

The 500 online spots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, with distribution across the 6 Brazilian regions (North, Northeast, Central-West, Southeast, South, and São Paulo State). Priority will be given to applicants from outside São Paulo State to ensure regional diversity and equity. Applications from outside Brazil are also welcome and will be considered within the available spots.
