The Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), an organization overseen by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI), held the Workshop on Resonant Inelastic and Elastic X-ray Scattering (RIXS/REXS), which took place from August 18 to 21, 2025 at Campinas SP, Brazil. As a satellite event, the 6th School on X-ray Spectroscopy Methods (SXSM) took place on August 15–16, 2025.
The RIXS/REXS Workshop presented leading experimental and theoretical researchers to discuss recent advances and emerging applications of resonant inelastic and elastic X-ray scattering techniques. The scientific program consisted in invited talks, contributed presentations, and a dedicated poster session.
The 6th School on X-ray Spectroscopy Methods offered a solid foundation in the RIXS technique through a series of lectures covering fundamental principles, experiment design, data analysis, and interpretation. Participants also engaged in hands-on tutorials focused on data processing and simulations.
Both events focused in fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and technical expertise in the rapidly evolving field of resonant X-ray spectroscopy.
