The International Conference on Synchrotron Radiation Instrumentation (SRI) is a well-established and successful conference series. It has been held for over 40 years, and is organised by the global community of synchrotron radiation and X-ray free-electron laser facilities. 

The SRI conferences are vital in bringing together the international light source community. They serve as a key platform for sharing recent scientific and technical developments, fostering collaboration, and discussing the future of synchrotron radiation. Access to the latest innovations and ideas presented at SRI is essential for advancing the field and supporting the broader economic and scientific growth of participating countries. 

The upcoming 16th edition of SRI in 2027 will be hosted by the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS), part of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), in Campinas, Brazil. This marks a significant milestone for the region and highlights the growing global relevance of Latin America’s scientific infrastructure.
