General topics to be covered in the speakers’ presentations:

  • Introduction to Synchrotron Accelerators and X-ray Techniques (INTRO)
  • Theory of Accelerators and Electron Storage Rings (AC)
  • Imaging of Biological Matter (MB)
  • Imaging of Heterogeneous Matter: Nanometric and Tomographic (MH)
  • Probing and Imaging in Condensed Matter: Electronic, Magnetic, and Microstructural Properties (MC)

In addition to the presentations, a poster session will be organized for discussions with the speakers. Each student will have the opportunity to present their research, and the three best posters will be selected. A guided tour of the tunnel housing the three electron accelerators that make up Sirius will also be organized.

Tutorials will be offered covering experiments on the LNLS/Sirius beamlines, control and manipulation of the Sirius electron accelerators, and data analysis and simulations. These tutorials will provide students with a solid foundation in various aspects of using advanced synchrotron radiation techniques.
