Welcome

Promoted by the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) the International Sirius Workshop on Heterogeneous and Hierarchical Materials (H2Mat) will be held in virtual mode on 3-4 October 2022.

The H2Mat workshop aims to bring together the LNLS-CNPEM external users’ community including researchers, students, engineers, staff scientists, and experts applying synchrotron radiation and related techniques to study hierarchical and heterogeneous materials at leading laboratories worldwide.

This first edition will allow researchers and students to present their scientific cases and discoveries in multidisciplinary fields. Furthermore, they would expose their expectations of using Sirius beamlines to explore their scientific challenges and path-breaking ideas.

This workshop will consist of invited and contributed talks discussing the new scientific opportunities offered by advanced synchrotron techniques applied to hierarchical and heterogeneous materials and research and experimental challenges in multidisciplinary areas, such as, to name a few, catalysis, energy materials, porous materials, ceramics, cement, carbon among others.
