DNA Sequencing

This facility is dedicated to genome sequencing, evaluation of the gene expression of diverse biological systems, helping in the development of enzymatic cocktails for hydrolysis for application in biofuels. It also allows the development and evolution of microorganisms and enzymes for industrial biotechnological applications.

It is one of the most advanced research facilities that demand large-scale sequencing of nucleic acids. Equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, the facility stands out for enabling the sequencing of Metagenomes and Metatranscriptomes from complex environmental samples; from amplicons (molecular markers such as 16S rDNA – Procaryotos and ITS – Eucaryotos); and the complete sequencing of genomes and transcriptomes (RNA-seq Stranded) from organisms such as filamentous fungi, bacteria, yeasts, and plants.
