Assistance Program

Rules and Criteria for the Assistance Program for Participation in the XIV Proteomics Workshop 

 

To apply for assistance to participate in the XIV Proteomics Workshop, applicants must:
1. Complete the designated fields in the registration form and attach all the required documents in PDF format;
2. Submit the assistance request form provided available at the end of this page.
The deadline for submitting both the registration and financial aid forms is August 31.

It is important to distinguish between applying and being awarded assistance. Those not awarded aid can still participate in the event at their own expense.

Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for financial assistance, applicants must meet all the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate program; be a postdoctoral researcher or early-career scientist; 
  • Reside in Brazil (outside the state of São Paulo), Latin America, or the Caribbean; 
  • Applicants must not hold a research productivity scholarship from CNPq or an equivalent agency.

Exclusion Criteria
Applications will be automatically disqualified if the candidate:

  • Currently holds a research productivity fellowship from CNPq or an equivalent agency;
  • Resides in the state of São Paulo or outside Latin America/Caribbean;
  • Is a graduate student who fails to submit a supervisor’s recommendation letter.

Documents Required for Evaluation
The following documents must be submitted in PDF format through the registration form:

  • Please indicate the total number of publications associated with a DOI reference

  • Motivation letter for participating in the event

  • Recommendation letter from current or future advisor

  • Does the current or future project involve single-cell analysis by proteomics?

Affirmative criteria such as regional background and gender may be used during the evaluation process, especially in case of tie-breakers.

Each application will be scored across three categories, with scores ranging from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest):

Transportation Support

The program covers travel expenses according to the following guidelines:

  • Reimbursable costs include airfare, ground transportation, or mileage, up to the limits listed below;
  • Participants are responsible for purchasing their own tickets, and eligible expenses will be reimbursed after the event.
