Description
The Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) will host the second International Sirius Workshop on Heterogeneous and Hierarchical Materials (H2Mat). This one-day workshop will be held on November 8, 2024, as one of the satellite workshops of the 34th LNLS Annual Users Meeting.
This workshop aims to bring together the external user community of LNLS-CNPEM – including researchers, students, engineers – scientists, and specialists who apply synchrotron radiation to study hierarchical and heterogeneous materials at leading laboratories worldwide.
The second edition of H2Mat will feature invited talks and discussions on the new scientific opportunities offered by advanced synchrotron techniques applied to hierarchical and heterogeneous materials and the research and experimental challenges. The event will allow researchers and students to present their scientific cases and discoveries in multidisciplinary fields. Additionally, participants can share their expectations for using the Sirius beamlines to explore their scientific challenges and innovative ideas.
H2Mat will be held every two years, alternating with the XAYNAN workshop, which focuses more on nanoscale techniques.
