Abstracts not submitted in this format will not be considered for review.
Please be aware that all required fields must be filled in to complete the submission process.
Registration System
Registration and submission of abstracts must be done through the EventWeb registration system and follow separate steps:
- Register by choosing your category, selecting the events to attend, and insert personal, academic, and affiliation data.
- Submitting your abstract. The submission is divided into two steps: enter the information regarding the abstract, then fill in the author´s information.
Satellite Events
Participants can attend up to two satellite events along with the 34th RAU main event:

Abstract Submission
Abstract submissions for poster presentations are available only for those attending the 34th RAU main event.
- The abstract should be submitted and presented by the same author;
- Only one abstract contribution may be submitted by each presenter;
- The Scientific Committee will evaluate the abstracts, select and assign the format to be presented, either oral communications or poster depending on the topical fit and time constraints;
- The Organizing Committee considers the withdrawal of an abstract after it has been accepted and advertised, as highly nonprofessional (except in special circumstances).
Abstract Submission Guidelines
There is no abstract template: fill in the information about your abstract in the requested fields directly on the EventWeb platform.
After registering, follow the “make your submission” button, please be sure to complete all the steps below.
Step 1
- Select to which event thematic you are submitting the abstract;
- Select the thematic field;
- Indicate your preferred type of communication (poster or oral to be evaluated by the Scientific Committee)
- Abstract Title
- Keywords
- Abstract text (up to 2000 characters including spaces)
- Select the technique used in your experiment or proposal
- Acknowledgments (up to 400 characters including spaces)
- References (up to 400 characters including spaces)
- Click on ‘next step’
Step 2
- Select the number of authors
- Fill the fields with each author’s information. Mark the one who will be the presenter.
- Click on ‘Make a Submission
The submission is complete and you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. On the screen, you will see the ‘Author Page’ with the list of submitted abstracts. If you click on the abstract title you will be able to view the submission and also the created pdf file.
If you find any problem with your submission you may go to the previous page (click on Author button) and click on the ‘pencil’ icon to edit any changes.
You can make changes until the submission deadline.

- Abstract submissions are optional for participation but recommended.
- Your participation will be confirmed only after payment of the registration fee.
- In case of exceeding the capacity, there will be selection by the Organizing Committee based on abstract contribution and first-come, first-served basis, according to the Registration Form.
Cancellation Policies
- Any changes and cancellations must be pre-notified in writing by email to eventos@cnpem.br.
- Registration fees will be refunded, considering the deduction of the following administrative fees:
- 10% on payments made by credit card and bank slip plus applicable taxes and fees related to the refund financial transaction;
- 40% on payments made by international bank transfer (invoice) plus applicable taxes and fees related to the refund financial transaction.
- Refunds will be made by credit card or bank transfer, depending on the original payment method after deduction of bank expenses and handling costs.
- No refunds for cancellations made after September 30th, 2024.
Undergraduate and graduate (master and doctoral) students and professionals interested in the use of synchrotron scientific instrumentation to perform cutting-edge experiments in areas such as Materials Science, Health and Pharmacology, Environmental Science Energy, Biotechnology, X-ray Imaging, Oil and Gas, Chemistry, and others.
All information, content and presentations must be performed in English, the official language of the event.
Participants are invited to contribute abstracts for poster or oral research presentations related to the program theme and topics.
Poster Presentation
- Documents and posters must be written in English.
- The presenters must stand by their poster during the assigned period to be eligible for receiving the presentation certificate.
- Posters must be printed 120 cm high and 90 cm wide, with strings (hangers will be available). Please bring your printed poster with you to the registration desk on the morning of the presentation day.
- Please provide the printed poster with strings – they will be held by a tripod. See the panel structure.
- Your poster will remain on display in the Sirius reception area for the duration of the workshop.
- A poster template will be provided soon at this page and it is optional for use.
Oral Presentations
- Presentations will be live, including questions;
- Depending on the number of abstracts submitted for oral presentation, the scientific committee may select a subset that best fits within the meeting program;
- Volunteered speakers who are not selected for oral presentations may be requested to present their research as a poster.
- A template for presentations will be provided soon and it is optional for use.
All attendees, speakers, and committee at this event are required to agree to the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. Creating a supportive environment to enable scientific discourse is the responsibility of all participants.
Our meeting provides a harassment-free conference experience for everyone. Participants must agree to be professional and courteous regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, or religion.
It is strictly prohibited any of the following actions at the conference:
- Recording, copying, or capturing any conference material presented;
- Sharing content with nonregistered users;
- The use of hostile or profane language;
- Offering or soliciting products or services in the event outside of the sponsor areas and from any attendee not designated as company representatives.
Violations of this code of conduct policy should be reported to directly to eventos@cnpem.br or to any staff or organizing committee member. Sanctions may range from verbal warning, to ejection from the meeting without refund or to notifying appropriate authorities. Your co-operation will help ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for everybody.
