Information to selected participants

Check below some important information for all selected participants to attend the São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Nanotechnology, Agriculture & Environment (SPSAS NanoAgri&Enviro),at the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), Campinas-SP, Brazil, 03-15 July 2023.

  • Registration fee is free of charge;
  • Are NOT eligible to receive a travel allowance.
  • Includes coffee break and social activity according to the final agenda; Lunch at CNPEM cafeteria costs R$ 22,66.
  • Includes the technical visits departing from the school´s venue (CNPEM) or from the official hotel of the event in Campinas (to be defined);

    • FAPESP scholarship holders must use resources from the Technical Reserve of the respective Scholarship to pay for their expenses.

The São Paulo Research Foundation, FAPESP, will support your travel and accommodation for the event as follows:

Flight Ticket

Round trip, economic class, from/to the nearest international airport in your country, following the dates to attend the event from July 3rd to 15th, 2023 (considering 1-2 days before the event starts according to flight/cost availability). Under no circumstances the dates of the flights will be advanced or postponed.  

A travel agency hired by CNPEM (the name will be provided to you in advance*) will check the most favorable route, according to the specifics of the event and its location and will contact you by March 30th to confirm the issuance of your air ticket. 

 

*Do not provide your personal details to other companies not informed to you by eventos@cnpem.br, or get in touch with us in case you have any doubt regarding third parties asking for your info in name of CNPEM.

Shuttle transfers

  • From São Paulo International Airport (GRU) or Campinas International Airport (VCP) to Campinas hotel (≈ 120 km); the transportation will be arranged for the group according to the flight arrivals (bear in mind you might be spending some time at the airport, up to ~5hours); if your arrival did not fit in any transportation scheduled, we will send instructions on how to get Campinas by bus and you will get the reimbursement at the venue;
  • In Campinas city: daily transfer between SPSAS´s hotel and CNPEM;
  • To the technical visits within the program of the event;
  • Return: from the hotel (or CNPEM) to Sao Paulo International Airport (GRU) (≈ 120 km).

Hotel accommodation

Accommodation in a double room shared with another selected participant of the same gender (hotel to be informed by the organizing committee) considering an additional daily rate one (1 day before the start of the event and/or one (1) day after the end (from July 2nd to 16th) – depending on availability of flights and buses.

Meals

  • Breakfast: at the hotel;  
  • Lunch: at CNPEM’s restaurant; 
  • Dinner: at the hotel (except for days with social gatherings informed in the event program); alternatively, there is the possibility of a “food allowance” in cash – to be informed by the local organizing committee

Travel insurance

Travel insurance offered from the departure until the arrival date of the event for the abroad attendees. 

 

The organizing committee of SPSAS Nano Agri&Enviro reserves the right to choose and/or change the companies hired to provide the services above at any time, providing all the necessary information to the school attendees and lectures to guarantee the schedule and quality of the event.

Technical visits

The program will comprise didactic activities as technical visits to the world-class facilities and specialized laboratories from the following institutions in the São Paulo state:

  • University of São Paulo (USP) in Piracicaba.
  • São Paulo State University (UNESP) in Sorocaba.
  • University of Sorocaba (UNISO) in Sorocaba.
  • Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) in São Carlos.
  • Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA) in São Carlos.

 

Transportation is included for all the participants.

POSTER AND ORAL PRESENTATION SESSIONS
