The 7th Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) Summer School was held in the Brazilian Nanotechnology National Laboratory (LNNano), which is part of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), Campinas, Brazil between January 15 and 26, 2018.
This school has the objective to teach basic and advanced theoretical concepts of TEM microscopy. Practical aspects for the efficient use of different TEM techniques were covered in demonstrative sessions with specialists in techniques like electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), electron diffraction, electron tomography and high-resolution electron microscopy.
By the execution of this course, LNNano intends to disseminate the capabilities and the use of TEM techniques, promote the qualification of new users for the LNNano facilities and train our current users. The scientific environment of the 7th TEM Summer School stimulates new scientific partnerships between the attendees, lecturers and LNNano researchers. Furthermore, LNNano expects to increase the productivity and impact of the work done using our multi-user facilities.
This is also a great opportunity to showcase your research project to specialists in these techniques and to discuss it with other participants in two poster sessions during the event.
