Guidelines for applications

Applications will be conducted online (via registration form) and all communication with candidates will be carried out only by e-mail. Be careful with the level of restriction in your inbox, some messages might go straight to spam/trash folders.

In addition to personal information, in the registration form will be requested: an updated link to the online CV in Lattes platform; a Recommendation Letter from your advisor/supervisor stating the importance of your participation in the school and an Abstract of your research project.

Selection Criteria

The selection of participants will consider objective criteria as described below:

  • Application order
  • Target audience
  • Origin of the candidate
    Note: the organizing committee has established that around 50% of the participants may be from outside the state of Sao Paulo
  • Viability of TEM techniques to resolve scientific problems described in the research project submitted during the registration

Registration fee

The registration fees include:

  • Access to all 7th TEM Summer School lectures and demonstration/practical’s at LNNano facilities;
  • Transfer within Barão Geraldo area;
  • Lunch, coffee breaks and other social gatherings during the event’s extension.

Note: the online application is free of charge. Only the selected participants will have to pay the registration fee.

In order to support students’ participation in the School, this applicant category will be free of charge. The selected candidates are being informed by e-mail.

Registration fees will not be refunded.

Accommodation and transportation

Soon we’ll publish some accommodation options nearby CNPEM. We’ll also provide a transfer passing by the main stops nearby the accommodation suggestions (mostly in Barão Geraldo, the nearest district from CNPEM).

All participants must be responsible for all accommodation expenses during your stay.

Financial support: The organizing committee will not provide financial support for this School

Practical activities

Bring your laptop for practical activities during the school. We will assist you installing public domain software’s for image processing and data mining.
